Our farm is call "Drawing Board Farm"
because it is the perfect place to create riders
and art.

I live, work and breathe horses, so they are
naturally the focus of my work.

When I was quite young I would go down to
my father's workshop and find scraps of wood
that looked like an animal (especially a
horse). I would shape and paint them
creating my sculptures.

My husband has been my greatest fan. He never pushes too
hard or lets me off the hook too easily.

Because I have such an extensive knowledge of the horse,
I feel free to push and pull its form to suit my ideas.

Winter is my most productive art time. I was able to create
a very large relief sculpture for Kosair Children's Hospital
in time for Derby a few years ago.

The more you make you art an extension of you and your
life, the more people are drawn to it.
